How to choose your circuit in Sardaigne?

Sardaigne can be explored in a loop or on a north-south traverse. Allow a week to focus on one region, such as the Gulf of Orosei and Supramonte, or ten to fourteen days to combine Alghero and the northwest, inland Barbagia, then the beaches of Sinis and Cagliari. Distances are modest, around 270 km between Olbia and Cagliari, but mountain roads slow progress. Plan at least two nights per stage to avoid a catalogue effect and leave time for swimming or coastal hikes.

Different types of circuits

Our travellers fall into three main categories. Coastal enthusiasts prefer our beaches and islands itineraries around La Maddalena, Cala Gonone and the Sinis peninsula, with boat trips and snorkelling. History buffs choose our culture and civilisations routes centred on the nuraghi, the Giants' Tombs and the Phoenician cities of Nora and Tharros. Finally, food lovers turn to our gastronomy and art of living circuits, between Cannonau wine cellars in Jerzu, cheese dairies in Pattada and meals with shepherds on the Golgo.

What is the best season?

The high beach season runs from mid-June to early September, with water at 24-26 degrees and daytime temperatures around 30. We recommend May, June and September instead: already warm sea, accessible trails, softer prices and reasonable crowds. April and October are suitable for cultural trips and hiking in the Supramonte, with 18 to 22 degrees during the day. Winter remains mild on the coast but several seaside accommodations close from November to March.

Our quality commitment

Our team based in the capital designs each circuit from personal reconnaissance and a network of tested partners, family agriturismi, local hiking guides and English-speaking drivers. The Sardaigne agency is registered with Atout France and benefits from APST financial guarantee, with 24/7 assistance during your stay.
